Tonight is the end of an eventful week. Monday and Tuesday already seem like a long time ago. Wednesday was moving day! Instead of the comfortable second-floor apartment near the city center, we now are in a house! Instead of all night noise on the other side of the wall, we now have QUIET.
Our friends who rented the apartment have now rented this house. They will come back and enjoy it when they can, but we will be staying here while they are away. We're sorry they have to go back to USA in a few more days. The lower floor has it's own little kitchen, living room, etc. and that is our domain. It is really very comfortable!
It is only a five minute walk to our tram stop, and the neighborhood looks so pretty with all the snow. It has been very cold. It is tiring just to put on all the layers and boots to keep warm. Waiting 15 minutes Wednesday evening at -22C for the bus that would take us to our friend's apartment in another town was pretty "chilly", but our hearts were so warmed when it was all over that we didn't mind.
I'm working on learning my way around, now that we are settled. It isn't so easy for me...I'm just not a "city girl". Then, there is the security code business by the door....sigh. I wonder how soon I can goof up on that!?

you probably need a blackberry phone, and learn to text so you can SOS for help when you forget..... ;D
I'm off to Tea :)
Lovely to see you all dressed for Winter in your Russian style hat and all!
It has warmed up here at home somewhat...and the sun HAS actually come out of hiding this week. We needed that!
glad you like your new home-away-from-HOME!
So nice to hear, it was really warm today, Feb. in Nebraska style, anyway, and sunny. Zane was outside to play, he loves it out there.
